On the day that Dutch airsoft legislation becomes active, the NABV posts part 3 in their explanation of the rules, this being the first one after the new rules where published in a more formal (and therefor perhaps somewhat confusing) language used by the Dutch government. The NABV also warns that it is not legal to have Airsoft Replica's as of today, since memberships cannot be acquired yet. (with the exception of those who have a special exception by the ministry of Justice)
If the noise on the nlairsoft.com forums where any indication: people where scrambling to try and interpret the new rules as set for in the new weapons and ammunition laws. (WWM).

This time, the NABV posts 6 of the rules involved, and clarify some of the many questions raised by the Dutch Airsoft Community.
- NABV Members have an exception to Category 1, sub 7 items that have a striking resemblance to real firearms, for the purpose of participating in the airsoft sport. This excludes certain props like hand-grenades.
- Event Organisers must conform to the quality label (of either the ministry or the NABV - Ed)
- Members of the NABV may perform maintenance on their Airsoft devices, and test them at home.
- The sale and trade of Airsoft Devices is exclusively limited to certified/approved firearm dealers. ( for more information, please see www.wapenhandel.info )
- Members of the NABV may transfer Airsoft Devices they currently own to other members of the NABV, as long as this is not done on a for profit basis.
- Members of the NABV may bring new Airsoft Devices, Airsoft Devices purchased abroad, and parts, or have the shipped to the address that is registered as the place of residence for the member. The NABV will be meeting with Customs to ensure as few unnecessary issues at the border as possible.
The NABV acknowledges the fact that there currently is no National Competition for the various Airsoft disciplines. This will be realised in the future, but as such it requires a lot of work and time by the commission in charge, and other interested parties.
